Gardening Jargon – Prune back to new wood
|Have you heard any master gardener’s using “Prune back to new wood” while they are explaining about pruning bush ? It’s a short form of – Remove the jumbled, twiggy or diseased wood. “New wood” refer to a year old branch which is not yet hardened and still bendable.
Pruning blueberries bush , roses we try to remove the unwanted, woody and diseased wood so that plant grow healthy in upcoming season.
