Paper art DIY Project – Basket

In my earlier tutorial Paper Weaving – How to make newspaper tube we learned the basic skill for newspaper craft. Then we learned how to make a Hat.

Today we will learn how to create the small decorative basket which is use here

You need

• Glue – I am using Aleene’s craft glue
• 10 paper tubes
• Craft Scissor
• Paper flower
• Brown acrylic paint colour for painting basket. You can choose any colour of your choice.

Step 1 – Glue the four newspaper tubes as shown in the figure

Step 2 –  Take a paper tube, flatten it and start weaving around the sticks.

Step 3 – Once you reach to the starting point, make a round around the tube and change the weaving pattern.

Step 4– I used 5 paper tubes to weave around the main tubes. Once finished I have folded and secure the remaining tube back to the basket with glue. Trim the ends.

After finishing It look like this

Step 5 – Paint and decorate with paper or ribbon flowers.

You can use small paper basket to decorate your paper art , doll house or even bookshelf !Don’t forget to share post with your friends.
