Visit to Myrtle Creek Botanical Garden and Nursery

Visiting garden is becoming my most indulging hobby, I love to visit nurseries and garden to embrace the knowledge and experience they offer. Yesterday, me and my husband found out about Myrtle Creek Botanical Garden and Nursery in Fallbrook, California.

Visiting Myrtle Creek is a very engaging garden experience. We admired the different colors of flowers, California native plants, Trees, Grass and amazing pottery of different size and shape like heart, rooster, angels, garden frog , Buddha and even Ganesha !.  I didn’t notice any unusual plants but yes they do exhibit how you can up-cycle a wooden log to decorate your patio, stone art,  lots of ornamental cabbage and kale inspired decorations. In miniature fairy gardens section, I was amazed with the selection of plants they had for fairy garden. I haven’t seen them in the nursery which I regularly visit.

What Myrtle offers to a visitor

  • Fallbrook Landmark Barn
  • Cafe Bloom
  • Farmhouse Gift Shop
  • Nursery
  • Bird Sanctuary and butterfly garden
  • Carriage house
  • The Myrtle Old Creek

For Fallbrook Landmark Barn tour; one has to take a prior appointment. But, if you missed, like me then also you can spend a quality time with your friends or family.

They offer farm fresh organic lunch which you can enjoy in Cafe Bloom or if you are a sweet tooth like me then enjoy the award-winning Myrtle Berry Pie. It’s berricious !! perfect combination of berries  and sweet. It’s not too sweet and you can actually enjoy the berries. After Julian’s Apple Pie , Myrtle Berry Pie is a must to taste for foodies.

Another things which you can try is homemade fruit jam, preserves  and salsaproducts.  I purchased orange marmalade and strawberry preserve out of which orange marmalade is something what I want more. You can checkout their online shop for more info.

In November, there were no water lilies in the pond, you won’t find butterfly flying around or many birds chirping But you can still enjoy the Nursery, Pottery choice, miniature garden items, hand crafted Christmas gifts or Christmas tree decoration, feeding goats , sunny day, cool breeze,  farm fresh lunch and their award-winning pie along with some marmalade.  Don’t plan to get flabbergasted in November but I am sure one will be amazed when it is adorned with flowers in Spring. I am all set for Spring visit to this garden.

This place is perfect for gardeners and Pie lovers.
