Gardening Jargon – Phytoremediation
July 8, 2016 | Gardening Jargon | No Comments|
It is the process of using plants to remove toxins from the soil. Other way to say – It is an excellent, natural, low-cost way to detoxify soil.
Plants used for Phytoremediation
Row 1 : Sunflower – Indian Mustard
Row 2 : Poplar tree – Ornamental Kale / Cabbage
- Creeping Zinnia
- Sorghastrum nutans
- Water hyacinth
It’s an emerging science and would be very interested if you can share your experience or know any place where these practices are followed.
Happy Gardening !
